Paste numbers separated by spaces, commas or new lines, then press Calculate. Nothing leaves your browser.
The tool sorts your list, then reports the mean (sum divided by count), median (middle value), mode (most frequent value), range, and both population and sample standard deviation. Results are rounded to 10 decimal places to hide floating-point noise. Everything runs in your browser.
Add all the numbers and divide by how many there are. The mean of 2, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 7, 9 is 40 ÷ 8 = 5.
Sort the numbers. With an odd count the median is the middle value; with an even count it is the average of the two middle values.
The mode is the value that appears most often. A set can have several modes, or none if every value appears once.
Population standard deviation divides by n and is used when your numbers are the whole group. Sample standard deviation divides by n − 1 and is used when they are a sample of a larger group.
