Each day: end time minus start time minus unpaid break. If the end is earlier than the start, the shift runs past midnight. Decimal hours are total minutes ÷ 60, rounded to 2 decimals. Pay is total hours × rate.
Subtract the start time from the end time, then subtract unpaid breaks. 9:00 to 17:00 with a 30 minute break is 7 hours 30 minutes (7.5 decimal hours).
If the end time is earlier than the start time, the calculator assumes the shift ends the next day. 22:00 to 06:00 is 8 hours.
