Unix Timestamp Converter

Convert epoch time to a UTC date, or a date to a timestamp. Nothing leaves your browser.

How it works

A Unix timestamp counts seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC. Enter a timestamp to see the UTC date, or a UTC date to get the timestamp.

FAQ

What is a Unix timestamp?

It is the number of seconds since 1 January 1970 00:00:00 UTC, also called the Unix epoch.

Seconds or milliseconds?

Timestamps around 10 digits are seconds. Around 13 digits are milliseconds, as used by JavaScript. Auto detect treats values of 100 billion or more as milliseconds.

What time zone is used?

All results are in UTC. Local time zone offsets are not applied.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is sent or stored.
